Lyle Lakay has been almost ever-present domestically for Mamelodi Sundowns since his move from Cape Town City, and his arrival could cause the club to loan out a teammate. Read: Update On Shabba's Chiefs Exit Siyabonga Zulu has played just three games for Masandawana since his switch to Chloorkop in January, with the 25-year-old firstly playing second fiddle to Tebogo Langerman prior to Lakay's arrival. Now, with Lakay playing regularly as a left back domestically and Langerman the first choice in the CAF Champions League, it remains to be seen whether there is any place for Zulu in Pitso Mosimane's plans for the season, especially now that the club is out of the CCL. With that in mind, the Siya crew – as reported in the last issue of Soccer Laduma – have been informed that the Brazilians are looking into the possibility of putting the 25-year-old on loan for the 2018/19 season so that he can try and get regular game-time elsewhere. With just a few days left before the transfer window closes, Sundowns will have to work quickly if they are to place Zulu in a club elsewhere, and the crew will keep tabs on his situation to see what happens next.
