As the transfer window continues to unfold, the Siya crew has been informed that there are early talks behind the scenes suggesting Sifiso Ngobeni could be offered to Marumo Gallants, following the club’s appointment of a new head coach.
Ngobeni, who found regular game time hard to come by at Mamelodi Sundowns, is among several players who have been released by the club.

Gallants, now under fresh leadership in Frenchman Lafitte Alexandre, are said to be quietly building a competitive squad capable of competing in the new season.
A source close to the situation has suggested that Ngobeni’s name has come up in internal discussions.
“There are conversations, and Ngobeni is one of the players who might be offered to Gallants. He needs to play regularly, and the new coach at Gallants is said to be open to bringing in players with PSL experience to strengthen the team,” said a source close to player movements.
Ngobeni, a left-back who joined Sundowns from Bloemfontein Celtic, remains highly rated for his work ethic and energy down the flank.

A move to Gallants or any other team, even on a short-term basis, could present him with a valuable opportunity to revive his momentum and play a leading role in a rebuilding project.
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, the potential transfer would align with Gallants’ known approach of targeting quality players with topflight experience to push for quick re-entry into the elite division.
