Sekhukhune United are looking to bolster their front line, with the club closing in on a promising striker.
Siya sources have informed this publication that Babina Noko have set their sights on Highlands Park striker Emelio Abreu Costa, who was key in his side taking Sekhukhune all the way to penalties in their Nedbank Cup Round of 32 clash.
The 27-year-old was the standout player for the Lions of the North and managed to find an impressive equalizer for coach Allan Freese's side in the aforementioned match.
He has also managed 10 goals in the league this season. Indications are that Sekhukhune identified the burly forward prior to his side's Nedbank Cup match but only made a formal approach after they advanced to the Last 16.
Abreu was previously on the books of Jomo Cosmos and even had a stint abroad in Malta, though indications are that he could be in the DStv Premiership next season, with Babina Noko closing in on his signature.
