Polokwane City have distanced themselves from reports linking the club to Free State Stars defender, Sifiso Mbhele.
The 30-year-old defender is earmarked for an exit from Ea Lla Koto and although the Siya crew had investigated the matter and learned that Rise and Shine is one of the clubs to have shown interest in the defender, the club's spokesperson, Vusi Ntimane has denied the rumours.
"I would like to clarify that Polokwane City is not interested in Sifiso Mbhele and we are not looking at bringing him to our team," Ntimane told Soccer Laduma.
"His name has not come up on the technical report compiled by our technical team as a possible target. We have never been interested in him.
"In fact, I can confirm with you that we are 95% done with negotiating with the players that we want to bring in for the upcoming season," added Ntimane.
Mbhele's agent, Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi had indicated that there was interest from several PSL clubs for the defender.
Meanwhile, City have also informed the crew that the team is aiming to make significant signings that will help the team compete for various accolades in the upcoming season.
