With Orlando Pirates star Patrick "Tito" Maswanganyi linked to his former club UD Oliveirense, the Siya crew finds out about his potential price tag.

Soccer Laduma had already reported how Tito's former club in Portugal is renewing their interest in him, with the hope for a move back to Europe. Though, that doesn't mean Bucs would be willing to let the player go.

Siya sources have now indicated that the offer for the player could be approximately R20 million to R23 million from the Portuguese team but potentially much higher for other clubs in Europe.

The sources added that Oliveirense are prepared to offer between €900,000 and €1 million for Maswanganyi's return.

Insiders close to both Maswanganyi and Bucs note how the proposed fee reflects his status only at the Portuguese team.

"For now the Portuguese club is putting in an offer between €900 000 to €1 million which is between R20 million to R23 million. That could go up if he moves to another club because Oliveirense are basing this on the fact that he is their former player and that they were expecting him to come back after SuperSport United," said the Siya source taking into consideration that this is a second division team in Portugal

"But his value could be above this R20 million if another European team would want to sign him. It should be between R35 million to R40 million. He is worth around that at the moment," the source told Soccer Laduma.

A second source emphasized that Maswanganyi's recent caps for the national team, Bafana have elevated his market value.

"You know if you are a national team player your value is different from a regular club player. So now, with his few Bafana Bafana caps recently, his value has gone up. If it was around R20 million to R23 million, now it should be higher than that. But also, it depends on which country's league is interested in the player. All those issues matter in these transfers. But he is worth it!" the second source stated.

Maswanganyi made an impact, effectively replacing the injured Themba Zwane, scoring two goals in two national team appearances in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this month.

Maswanganyi's potential return to Portugal reflects his rising stature both locally and internationally. As speculation continues, the prospect of seeing him in European football again adds an intriguing dimension to his promising career. The Siya crew contacted Pirates for an official comment on Tito's price tag but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.

Soccer Laduma will be closely monitoring developments on any potential transfer interest in Tito.
