Magesi FC have called a press conference for this afternoon, sparking speculation that John Maduka is set to be unveiled as the club’s new head coach.
The timing of the announcement has fuelled growing whispers in local football circles, especially after the recent exit of Owen Da Gama, whose short-term deal with the Limpopo outfit came to an end last week.

Talks to extend his stay reportedly broke down, paving the way for a new appointment.
Maduka, who has been linked with several coaching roles since his last stint in the Betway Premiership, is believed to be the frontrunner.
Sources close to the situation suggest that all indications point to him being handed the reins at the Limpopo-based outfit, although the club has remained tight-lipped about the details.
“There’s been strong interest in John Maduka, and from what I understand, the club has been working on quickly finalising things before pre-season starts,” said the source.

Maduka was most recently in charge of Royal AM, but his tenure came to an abrupt end when the club was expelled from the league.
Like many players who have since left the now-defunct KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit, Maduka also finds himself seeking a new chapter, and Magesi may just be the next stop in his coaching journey.
Meanwhile, the Carling Knockout Champions have since confirmed the appointment of the former Malawian international on their official social media platforms.
