In light of challenges within their goalscoring department, the Siya crew takes a look at whether Kaizer Chiefs would want to bring in a specialised strikers or forwards coach.
Despite external suggestions, the Amakhosi technical team remains confident in their current coaching setup to address these issues themselves.

Siya sources from within the club assert that the technical staff, including the newly appointed assistant coach Cedric Kaze, are deemed well-suited to support all players, including the strikers. Kaze's broad expertise is seen as an asset that enhances the team's overall coaching dynamics.
"The technical team have talked about it before and they agreed that they didn't need a strikers coach nor a forward coach. They are happy with the way the coaches are working together and the way the strikers are responding to that. They don't see why there should be an extra coach to only concentrate on strikers," said the Siya source.
"Yes, goalkeepers have their own coach because they need different attention when compared to on-field players who can benefit from all the other coaches. So, they feel there is no need for a strikers coach," the source added.
A second insider stated that Kaze's addition to the technical team has further solidified this decision.

"You know if strikers are not doing well at times it's the problem with the whole team and that's why coach Cedric (Kaze) helps in all departments. He understands every player, and with the help of other coaches, they work on what could be the shortcoming in the striking department and the midfield or even the defence. What if the midfielders are not creating enough chances for strikers and what if defenders are not keeping clean sheets with the goalkeepers? You see? So you don't just need a strikers coach but coaches who will work with all the departments and the technical team and management are happy with what they have at this point," the second insider told the Siya crew.
Amakhosi are set to face Richards Bay in the Premiership at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night.
Attempts to reach out to Chiefs for an official comment went unanswered at the time of publication. The club's potential decision to forego a specialised strikers coach underscores their trust in the current coaching team to foster improvement across all areas. As the season progresses, fans and analysts alike will be keen to see how this strategy impacts their on-field performance, beginning with tonight's match.
