With Rulani Mokwena having confirmed Wydad Athletic's interest in Bongani Zungu, insiders have since discussed the delay in the negotiations between the two parties.

Given that Zungu is a free agent and that Wydad are indeed interested in the 31-year-old, it might be assumed that a deal would be straightforward.
However, insiders close to the dealings have informed the crew that despite interest from both Zungu and the club, there is currently believed to be a deadlock with regards to the player's personal package.
Zungu is understood to have been in the higher bracket of earners at Sundowns - and despite being a free agent, won't come cheap for the Moroccan giants.
Wydad have roped in a number of players as per Mokwena's request and are expected to be weighing up their options before taking a decision on Zungu.
Cassius Mailula has been roped in on a season-long loan deal, while the club announced the arrival of Brazilian winger Pedrinho.
