Seema: The Game Was Finished After 7 Minutes

Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has admitted that the game was over for them in the first seven minutes after a 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Seema's side missed the chance to move third on the DStv Premiership table after losing 2-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns.

"If you have a start like this, that we had today against Sundowns, you're not going to win the game. We made it difficult in the first seven minutes. I'm sure Sundowns couldn't believe their eyes or their luck. We defended to badly, ja the game was finished," Seema told SuperSport after the game.

"Don't even go to half-time, if you can show me the stats of first-half, let's look at the stats and show them there. We had everything, we were above them, shots on target, shots wide, corners, free-kicks, everything.

"Sometimes you ask yourself that if we're a team that we're saying we need to make sure that we get points even in the difficult games but now I feel we donated points like that. We can lose games but losing like this? It's painful for the players. I'm sure where they are very angry with themselves," Seema said.

"With a team like Sundowns, if you let them off the hook first-half, it's gonna be difficult. We tried, we're not scoring our chances. The ball boys started to…So everyone could see Sundowns was on the back foot and then the tricks of football happened but the players pushed

"They never gave up, 2-0, seven minutes against Sundowns, one would think it's over but the players didn't give up. We got stuck in there, we fought. I think it's one game we want to forget as quickly as possible. What we did in the second half, the first-half is cancelling it. I'm not sure what was happening first-half, we'll have to find out but it was a terrible start and unfortunately we couldn't come back."
