According to a report by WinWin, Benhachem is pushing for both players to be signed permanently ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup and has informed Wydad president Hicham Ait Mena of his desire to see the purchase clauses in the loan contracts of both players activated.
Lorch is currently on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, while Mailula joined the Moroccan giants from Major League Soccer side Toronto FC.
Both loan agreements are set to expire on June 30, but the Wydad coach is eager to finalise the duo's futures before the end of the season.
With just two matches remaining in the Moroccan top flight, Benhachem has already expressed to the club’s leadership his intent to include Lorch and Mailula in preparations for next month’s FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Wydad, representing Africa in the tournament, have been drawn into a challenging group that includes European champions Manchester City, Italian giants Juventus, and UAE outfit Al Ain.
The coach reportedly views Lorch and Mailula as crucial components of his squad for the continental showdown.
