Manchester United remain without a win in the Premier League after drawing 1-1 with Fulham on Sunday evening.

Premier League

Result: Fulham 1-1 Manchester United

Date: 24 August 2025

Venue: Craven Cottage

The Red Devils made just one change from the loss to Arsenal, as Amad Diallo came in for Diogo Dalot while Andre Onana was only named on the bench amid reports of the club closing in on a new goalkeeper.

United made a lively start to the encounter as Matheus Cunha was denied by the upright before he was brilliantly denied by goalkeeper Bernd Leno in a one-on-one situation all in the opening 15 minutes.

Fulham, meanwhile, did have a couple forays into the United half as the first half went on, although their biggest openings were on corners as United goalkeeper Altay Bayındır remained vulnerable on the line when trying to collect a cross.

The Red Devils were afforded the chance to break the deadlock ten minutes before the halftime break after being awarded a penalty following a check on the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) monitor. Bruno Fernandes stepped up but sent his spot-kick well over the target.

United coach Ruben Amorim made a double change five minutes after the second half, with Benjamin Sesko and Diogo Dalot replacing Casemiro and Amad as they went for a different approach in the attack.

The visitors got their reward in the 58th minute when Lenny Yoro got above his marker to node home a corner from Bryan Mbuemo for his first goal in the league since joining the club.

Fulham, however, did get back on level terms in the 72nd minute when Alex Iwobi lofted a ball into the box, where an un-marked Emile Smith-Rowe poked the ball beyond Bayındır just minutes after being introduced.
