The PSL has announced a surprising transfer window closing date as the 2023/24 season remains on hold due to the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
In recent years, the mid-season transfer window would normally run until the end of January at least, but there is a change in this year's one, as confirmed by the league.

This morning, the PSL confirmed that the transfer window is set to close on Friday night.
"The Premier Soccer League's domestic transfer window will close on Friday, 26 January 2024, at midnight," confirmed the league in a statement.
While some clubs already have additions to their respective squads confirmed, others have been quiet, with all the teams now having a little more than 48 hours to finalise with player movements before being prohibited from doing so for at least another five months.
Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are some of the clubs that have been quiet, while defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns have made two exciting signings.

Zuko Mdunyelwa from Chippa United and Matias Esquivel who has been playing in Argentina for Club Atletico Lanus, have been added to coach Rulani Mokwena's side.
Sifiso Ngobeni has been loaned to AmaZulu and is joined at the Durban-based outfit by returnee in Augustine Mulenga from Chippa.
