Saliba joined The Gunners in 2019 and has been a mainstay in the Arsenal backline since 2021 after three loan spells away from the club.
According to Metro, the Los Blancos have reportedly approached Arsenal to sign the 24-year-old, who is considered their primary target.
While manager Mikel Arteta has downplayed Real's interest and said Saliba is happy in London, fresh reports from French publication L'Equipe have suggested otherwise.
The publication reported that the former Saint-Etienne defender's entourage has made contact with Real Madrid and the player has reportedly admitted that he would only leave to join the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners.
The Gunners have allegedly offered the Frenchman a contract extension beyond his current 2027 deal and the club has also attempted to deter interest by not setting a price tag for him.
