If there is anyone who knows what it is to have the 'X' factor, it is Mahlangu.
The dribbling wizard burst onto the scene as a teenager in the colours of Kaizer Chiefs and would etch his name into the history books where he is renowned as one of the country's best ever players.
He turned out for a number of clubs like Platinum Stars and SuperSport United and these days, Mahlangu works as an ambassador and television pundit.
The Siya crew recently caught up with the 43-year-old to quiz him about the Player of the Season award, and which player should win it.
The likes of Teboho Mokoena, Patrick Maswanganyi and Iqraam Rayners have all put their hands up with their incredible performances - but 'Shuffle' has given his vote to Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana number one, Ronwen Williams.
"All these guys did exceptionally well in their respective teams. And unfortunately Ronwen Williams will be my favourite, because of the performances that he put for Bafana Bafana during the AFCON and also for the Champions with Mamelodi Sundowns – by the way - congratulations to Mamelodi Sundowns for winning the league!" he told the Siya crew.
"I think all the guys deserve to win it. If it was possible to give every one of them, I think I was going to give one for every one of them [the award]. But Ronwen Williams stood out for me and I think Williams is going to take everything."
