Insider: ‘Billiat Made A Mistake Of A Lifetime’

Billiat has been without a club since leaving Chiefs prior to the start of the season and there have been concerns about his future after all the clubs he has been linked with didn't sign him.

While there has been no update from the player or his camp regarding their plans, sources close to the 33-year-old have been worried about the time he has been without a club.

"The truth of the matter is that Khama Billiat needs to play competitive football and football without him isn't the same for many. He is one of the most loved players and surely his fans miss him too for what he has achieved in the game over the years," said the source.

"We do understand that mistakes happen in football and in life and no one is perfect, and maybe he made a mistake (by leaving Chiefs). It's all part of learning. Maybe he will be the first one to admit that he made a mistake of a lifetime, but life should go on and he needs to return," the source said.

Billiat is a free agent and can sign with any club outside of the transfer window.
