Important advice has been offered to Orlando Pirates' new goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi in an exclusive interview with the Siya crew as competition for a place in the team remains tough.
Among the new players that were signed by Pirates ahead of the 2023/24 season was Buthelezi from TS Galaxy after the remarkable progress he made with the team.

The 25-year-old is yet to feature as Sipho Chaine remains the first choice in coach Jose Riveiro's team, with Richard Ofori appearing to be the second choice.
At Galaxy, Buthelezi was the number one and managed to get the recognition of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos who selected him in his squad for some matches.
Former Pirates goalkeeper Thabani Stemmer has advised Buthelezi to be patient while waiting for his chance at the Soweto giants.
"He has to wait for his chance. Goalkeeping is that kind of a position where only one player can play at a time while others have to wait for their chance. He is a new signing who has just joined Pirates from another team and he needs to get used to how things are being done at the club. Coming from a small team and to a big club can be a challenge at times and it can take a bit of time for one to get used to the adjustment. He's got to learn about the culture of Pirates and everything to do that and that can take a little bit of time," said Stemmer.

"All that he needs now is to learn from the other keepers. That's what you do as a goalkeeper, you learn from the other keepers while waiting on the wings for your chance. You don't complain but you use the opportunity to learn. When he gets the opportunity to play, he will need to make sure that he uses it," he said.
