A midfielder who once showed promise in Soweto appears set to be shown the exit door following a loan spell that did little to revive his fortunes.
Insiders close to Kaizer Chiefs have indicated that with the midfielder not in coach Nasreddine Nabi's plans and his contract running out in June 2026, the best way to deal with the situation may be to make the most difficult decision sooner.

The insiders added that Amakhosi are ready to let Mduduzi Mdantsane, who spent half of the season on loan at Richards Bay, go and find a team where he will be able to play and showcase his talent.
"They are dealing with one player at a time. Each and every player has their own contract, as for the others, they are expiring, the club is looking at releasing those still contracted to the club. Mdu is one of them. His contract is expiring in June 2026 but the club is expected to release him out of his contract. No, apparently it won't be a loan again. It's believed to be a permanent release this time around," the insider told the Siya crew.
A second source revealed that despite playing very few games at Richards Bay where he was on loan from January, it's believed that the Natal Rich Boyz are interested in his services.
"Yes, he had to return to Chiefs because the loan contract was until the end of the season. However now it's believed that the technical team is looking at bringing him back for next season. It's just a matter of looking at other things like finances because he is coming from Kaizer Chiefs. But it's apparently true Richards Bay are interested in him," the second insider stated.

The former Cape Town City midfielder joined Chiefs during the 2023/24 season and played many games initially, but with the arrival of coach Nasreddine Nabi, the 30-year-old fell down the pecking order and was eventually loaned to Richards Bay where he played only a few games.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
With Nabi's squad overhaul continuing at Naturena, Mdantsane appears to be one of several casualties as the coach reshapes the team according to his vision. The midfielder likely has several seasons of top flight football left in him, making him an attractive proposition for teams like Richards Bay who could benefit from his experience without the financial burden of a transfer fee.
The coming weeks will reveal whether the Natal Rich Boyz firm up their interest or if other suitors emerge for the former Cape Town City man.
