As Orlando Pirates near the conclusion of their pre-season tour of Spain, crucial decisions lie ahead regarding the final composition of the squad for the 2025/26 campaign.
The Buccaneers have been among the most active clubs during the transfer window, bringing in no less than 10 new signings as part of the club’s ambitious rebuild under newly appointed head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.

A 32-member squad was taken to the Spanish coast for the tour, with several players left behind in Johannesburg.
Now, with the tour set to end on July 19, the club’s technical team is expected to begin the process of trimming and finalising the squad.
According to insiders within the club, the post-tour phase will be used to determine which players will stay, which ones will be loaned out, and who could be released permanently.
Midfielders Goodman Mosele and Azola Tshobeni are believed to be edging closer to a move to Chippa United, while sources indicate that Gilberto, Thuso Moleleki, and Siphelo Baloni are also facing uncertain futures.
Moleleki and Baloni have reportedly attracted interest from newly promoted Orbit College, while Gilberto’s stay in Angola could be extended, with Petro Luanda said to be keen on renewing his loan deal.
Further speculation surrounds Selaelo Rasebotja and Siyabonga Ndlozi, who have also emerged as potential loan targets, with several clubs said to be monitoring their situation in Orlando closely.
