Orlando Pirates co-coach Fadlu Davids has revealed the team's plan for their opponents who he says are awkward in some area of their play.
Following a convincing 4-1 win over Maritzburg United in their most recent DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night, the Buccaneers have travelled to KwaZulu-Natal to face Royal AM at Chatsworth Stadium on Friday evening in their penultimate fixture of the 2021/22 season.
Bucs are hoping to win both their remaining matches against Royal AM and SuperSport United respectively for a chance to finish in second place on the log ahead of Cape Town City on goal difference to qualify for the CAF Champions League.
Speaking after the team's training session in KZN, Davids believes that the Confederation Cup finalists have done well in preparing for the John Maduka-coached outfit.
"Good session in relation to getting used to the weather here in the KZN region knowing that it's going to be a tough match. Quite an awkward side in relation to how they attack, us analysing exactly which spaces we need to use in our attack… Their defence, and the preparation is key in relation to that," said Davids, speaking through Pirates' media department.
