A South African striker with a commanding physical presence continues to draw significant attention from clubs abroad, with interest spanning multiple European leagues.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, clubs from Belgium and Turkey have enquired about Orlando Pirates striker Evidence Makgopa before, and now there appears to be even more foreign interest emerging.

Insiders privy to reliable information and close to both the striker and Pirates have indicated that a Championship side from England has enquired about Makgopa.
"This club was the first to (secretly) show interest even before interest from Belgium and Turkey. But they were still monitoring him and now it's believed that they are apparently happy with him and that's why they have enquired about him. What they like most about him is his height and physical stature. He can fit in their system of play," the source told the Siya crew.
A second insider revealed that there is a team in North Africa which has also shown interest in the Bafana Bafana striker.
"Though the main focus now seems to be on the English side, there has also been enquiries and interst from a North African team. It's too early to be mentioning names now but I can assure you there is a lot of interest there," the second source told Soccer Laduma.
Makgopa joined Pirates three seasons ago and although he had a slow start in his first season, he improved in the second season. He repeated the same feat in the just ended 2024/25 season.
The towering forward has also been an important part of Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana squad, contributing to South Africa's bronze medal at the last AFCON in Ivory Coast.
With the transfer window approaching, Pirates may soon face difficult decisions regarding their international striker's future. Whether Makgopa remains at Orlando Stadium or makes a move abroad could depend on these European and North African inquiries, as well as the Buccaneers' willingness to part with a player who has become increasingly valuable to their attacking options.
