It was on this day last year that the GladAfrica Championship outfit stunned Chiefs with their 1-0 win in the final of the Nedbank Cup at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa, who was on loan at the second tier league outfit at the time, scored the decisive goal for the Mpumalanga outfit from the spot, which knocked the Soweto giants out of the prestigious competition.

Galaxy went on to play in the CAF Confederation Cup under their previous coach Dan Malesela, where they faced some of the top clubs on the continent, including Nigeria giants Enyimba.
