Junior Khanye's Bold Nedbank Cup Final Prediction

Junior Khanye's Bold Nedbank Cup Final Prediction

Kaizer Chiefs

Junior Khanye has boldly called for the upcoming cup final to end in a surprise win for TS Galaxy against their experienced opponents in Kaizer Chiefs.

Chiefs and their National First Division opponents will play in their Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday evening.

"It's going to be an exciting final, but also an unusual one. It's an unusual final in the sense that there are no longer small teams in our days, which is why TS Galaxy will be playing Chiefs in the final of a cup competition," said Khanye.

"However, it has to be noted that TS Galaxy were not done a favour to reach the final. They worked very hard to be where they are like the team's coach Dan Malesela mentioned in one of the interviews. Yes, opponents will be respected as Chiefs is a big team but TS Galaxy are going there to win the final," he added.

Malesela has said that his side could make history by beating Amakhosi in the final, and Khanye concurs with the former Chippa United coach.

"Chiefs is going to play also, but that game is going to surprise a lot of people. Those boys (TS Galaxy) will be highly motivated and they have been playing good football. Hopefully, they won't be intimidated by the fans and the occasion. It won't be only the many Chiefs fans going to the stadium, but a lot of other fans of other PSL teams from around the country will also be there. I see TS Galaxy taking the cup," added Khanye.

"Look, I know not many people will believe what I say, but unfortunately a lot of people will be shocked and surprised at the end of the game. Pound for pound, some of those TS Galaxy boys are better than Kaizer Chiefs players – the current team. The only difference are jerseys. The difference is the jersey, and that others have contracts with TS Galaxy, while others have contracts with Chiefs. I've watched TS Galaxy and I have seen their players comfortable on the ball more than Chiefs players, and their passing is top notch. All they have to realise is that it's the final and they have a chance to make history. I see them winning 2-1," the Daveyton-born player added.
