Highlands Park unveiled six new signings last night at their annual awards ceremony and Head Coach Owen da Gama has explained why he thinks he could have one of the best goalkeepers on his books.
The Lions of the North confirmed the addition of Wayde Jooste, Rodney Ramagalela, Makhehleni Makhaula, Thela Ngobeni, Limbikani Mzava and Marks Munyai, bolstering their squad to challenge on all domestic fronts next season.

Speaking to the media, Head Coach Da Gama explained why Ngobeni chose to remain at Mamelodi Sundowns without playing, adding that with time, the goalkeeper could become one of the best in the country.
"We signed Thela Ngobeni, he is a brilliant goalkeeper, he was at Sundowns and then loaned out all the time and he eventually was loaned out to Free State Stars and that was their best season," he said.
"Unfortunately they couldn't re-sign him again, and then he went back to Sundowns – they got what you call a suspense clause, that if you sign a three-year contract, it only counts when you are with them, when they loan you out it doesn't count, so you can stay with them for 10-years you know.
"So Thela opted to stay even though he didn't play. However, Thela is not where he is supposed to be, you can't not be playing football at the highest level for so many seasons, you cant – we think Thela is not at his best but he is so quality that we believe in the next season he will be one of the best goalkeepers in the country and challenge for Bafana Bafana," he added.
