Decision Made On TTM's 'Improperly Registered Player' Complaint

The Limpopo outfit had claimed that Athini Jodwana was improperly registered for the season by VFA with the league.

Jodwana went on to feature in a number of matches this season, which included 10 appearances in the Motsepe Foundation Championship and three in the Nedbank Cup.

However, Majavu confirmed on Tuesday evening that TTM formally withdrew their complaint as the information received for the complaint was inaccurate.

"Based on the facilitation by myself as the prosecutor, having made available to both parties the official records of the league's registration department, it became apparent that the information on which TTM based its complaint was inaccurate," Majavu said via the PSL's media department.

"They, themselves conceded that and in the result, through their legal representative, the voluntarily and formally withdrew such complaint before the DC [Disciplinary Committee] panel and the DC confirmed such withdrawal on the record and for avoidance of doubt.

"Clubs that were fixture against VFA, and in which this particular was fielded, were also also notified.

"Some of them were in attendance through their legal representatives to observe the proceedings to the extent they might have interest and as a consequence of the formal withdrawal, the matter then can be regarded as finalised."
