Cape Town Spurs 2-0 Platinum City Rovers
Cape Town Spurs climbed up to the top of the table by the skin of their teeth after beating Platinum City Rovers 2-0 on Friday afternoon at Athlone Stadium.
After a goalless first stanza, Therlo Moosa eventually broke the deadlock for Spurs on 66 minutes and Asanele Velebayi secured the three points with the second goal 15 minutes before time.
Shaun Bartlett's charges kept the top spot by virtue of a superior goal difference over second-placed Casric Stars, with three games to go while City Rovers slipped down to 14th on the log, just four points above the relegation zone.
JDR Stars 2-2 Polokwane City
Polokwane City dropped off the top of the standings after a 2-2 draw against JDR Stars dented their chances of automatic promotion on Friday afternoon at Giant Stadium.
The sides went to the break deadlocked before Polokwane got the opener on 66 minutes and Stars found the equaliser four minutes before time.
The Hammer Boyz thought they had clinched the three points after Kamohelo Sithole put them ahead in the last minute but Rise and Shine salvaged a point with the leveller straight from the restart.
Polokwane dropped down to third on the table, two points behind leaders Cape Town Spurs, with three games left, while JDR remained in sixth spot and are out of the running for a promotion play-off spot.
NB La Masia 2-1 Pretoria Callies
NB La Masia all but secured their status after edging Pretoria Callies 2-1 on Friday afternoon at Dobsonville Stadium.
Callies went ahead on seven minutes but Cape Town City loanee Mogamat May levelled matters for La Masia ten minutes later.
Fuad Johnson snatched the winner for La Masia three minutes before time.
La Masia occupied 13th on the log after their win while Callies had to settle for eighth place.

Casric Stars 1-0 University of Pretoria
Casric Stars went up to second on the table after edging University of Pretoria 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.
Kgomotso Mosadi broke the deadlock for Casric nine minutes before the interval and that was enough to hand them the crucial three points.
Stars climbed up to second on the log, equal on points with leaders Cape Town Spurs but with a lesser goal difference, with three games remaining while AmaTuks fell slightly down to ninth.
All Stars 2-1 Baroka
All Stars extended their unbeaten run to eight matches after edging Baroka 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Tsakane Stadium.
All Stars broke the deadlock eight minutes before the break and they were pegged back by Baroka three minutes later.
An own goal by Bakgaga deep in stoppage time handed Umlilo all the three points.
All Stars climbed up to fifth on the table while Baroka dropped down to 12th.
Hungry Lions 0-0 Black Leopards
Hungry Lions missed the chance to close the gap for a promotion play-off spot to five points after they were held to a goalless draw by Black Leopards on Saturday afternoon at Dr. Molemela Stadium.
Ditau dia Rora remained remain in fourth spot on the table, seven points behind third-placed Polokwane City, with three games to go while Lidoda Duvha dropped down to the bottom of the table, six points from safety.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 2-0 Magesi FC
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila revived their chances of surviving relegation after beating Magesi 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Dr. Molemela Stadium.
Tshakhuma got an early lead through Mpendulo Phewa and Phila Mzila doubled their lead just two minutes from the interval.
TTM moved off the bottom of the log, up to 15th, four points behind 14th-placed Platinum City Rovers while Magesi were unmoved in tenth place and safe from relegation worries.
Uthongathi 1-1 Venda Football Academy
Ten-man Uthongathi and Venda Football Academy both extended their winless runs to three games after a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.
Tshepo Liphoko got the opener for Uthongathi midway through the first stanza but Rhulani Manzini levelled matters for Venda ten minutes before the break.
The Cane Cutters were down to ten men on 64 minutes after goal-scorer Liphoko received a second booking and was sent off.
However, Uthongathi held on to a point that moved them up to seventh on the log while VFA climbed slightly up to 11th.
