Baroka FC were denied a winning start to the season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship on Sunday after a 1-1 draw with Orbit College.

Venda Football Academy 0-2 Milford Stallions

Venda Football Academy endured a disappointing start to the season after succumbing to a 2-0 loss to Milford Stallions out in Thohoyandou.

Both teams had a stuttering campaign last time out, and battled to stave off the drop but were keen to amend the wrongs of the previous past.

However, the boys from the KwaZulu-Natal province showed immense courage to walk off victorious as goals in the second half got them over the line.

Leruma United 0-1 Pretoria Callies

Pretoria Callies made a strong start to the campaign and edged out the newly-formed Leruma United 1-0 out on the road.

Durban City 2-1 Casric Stars
