Malesela's Baroka Sink Championship Leaders

Sunday, 12 November 

University of Pretoria 2-1 Platinum City Rovers

University of Pretoria won their first game in five matches after edging Platinum City Rovers 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.

Camagu Mdevulana got the opener for AmaTuks inside the first four minutes and Athenkosi Tonisi doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time.

City Rovers pulled a goal back on the hour-mark.

The win took the Tshwane side up to eighth on the table with 17 points while the North West outfit dropped down to third-from-bottom with ten points.

Upington City 1-0 Milford

Upington City extended their unbeaten run to seven matches after edging Milford 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Windhoek Draught Park.

Bokang Mokoena broke the deadlock for Upington ten minutes before the break and that was enough to hand them their fourth win of the season.

Bafana Ba Gucci moved up to seventh on the log with 17 points while the Stallions dropped down to 15th on the table with nine points.

Saturday, 11 November

Marumo Gallants 4-2 Pretoria Callies

Marumo Gallants won for the first time in six matches after hammering Pretoria Callies 4-2 courtesy of a brace by Monde Mphambaniso on Saturday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium.

Marvin Sikhosana opened the scoring for Gallants on 19 minutes and Mphambaniso doubled their advantage ten minutes before the break.

Callies reduced the deficit just before the interval. However, Saziso Magawana restored a two-goal lead for the hosts just after the break.

The Romans got another goal back soon after that but Mphambaniso made it 4-2 for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa straight from the restart.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa jumped up to tenth on the log with 15 points and Callies remained at the bottom of the table with eight points.

Hungry Lions 1-3 Magesi

Magesi climbed up to second spot on the table after thrashing Hungry Lions 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at Windhoek Draught Park.

Wonderboy Makhubu got the opener for Magesi within the first nine minutes and Tshepo Matsemela gave them a two-goal cushion on the half-hour mark.

Raymond Daniels pulled aa goal back for Lions ten minutes before the break.

However, Mcedi Vandala made it 3-1 for Dikwena on the stroke of half-time.

Magesi moved up to within one point of leaders Orbit College in second position on the table and Ditau Dia Rora slipped down to sixth on the log with 19 points.

Orbit College 0-1 Baroka

Baroka slowed down log-leaders Orbit College after a narrow 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon at Olympia Park Stadium.

Ananias Gebhardt got the only goal for Bakgaga in the first stanza.

The win took Dan Malesela's troops up to fourth on the table, just two points behind leaders Orbit, whose lead at the top of the log was reduced to just a point.

Black Leopards 1-1 Venda Football Academy

Black Leopards and Venda Football Academy remained in the fringes of the relegation zone after a 1-1 draw in the Limpopo derby on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Kgothatso Mariba broke the deadlock for Venda on the stroke of half-time but Leopards equalised early in the second stanza.

Leopards were left lying 12th on the log with 14 points and VFA remained two points behind Lidoda Duvha in 13th spot.

Friday, 10 November

JDR Stars 2-2 Casric Stars

JDR Stars missed the chance to go top of the table after they came back from two goals down to salvage a draw in a four-goal thriller on Friday afternoon at Giant Stadium.

Tlhalefang Kgabane sent Casric ahead within the first three minutes and doubled their lead and completed his brace on the stroke of half-time.

However, Prince Nxumalo pulled a goal back for the Hammerboys three minutes from the break and Nxumalo levelled matters four minutes later and also got his brace.

JDR had to settle for third position on the table, just one point behind log-leaders Orbit College while Casric dropped down to ninth on the table with 16 points.

NB La Masia 0-0 Maritzburg United

Maritzburg United could not win back-to-back matches after they were held to a goalless draw by NB La Masia on Saturday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium.

The Team of Choice fell slightly down to fifth on the table, three points behind table-toppers Orbit College and Daine Klate's charges had to settle for 11th spot on the table with 14 points.
