Richards Bay FC failed to extend their lead at the top of the GladAfrica Championship table courtesy of a 2-2 draw against Uthongathi FC on Friday.

The Natal Rich Boyz were first on the board through Sakhile Hlongwa, but Thato Mohlamme restored parity before Nkosikhona Dube's penalty after halftime put the visitors ahead.

However, the Cane Cutters weren't able to hold out and allowed Hlongwa to seal a brace and secured a point for the Natal Rich Boyz.

Polokwane City Rovers 2-2 Free State Stars

Free State Stars managed to come from behind against Polokwane City Rovers in a top-half battle out at the Olen Park Stadium to secure a 2-2 draw.

It is a positive outcome for Rovers as they jumped one spot from eight to seventh spot ahead of Ea Lla Koto, whose winless spell stretched to three matches.

Jomo Cosmos were relegated from the Championship and into the ABC Motsepe League on the back of a 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers TS Sporting on Saturday.

The demotion brings Ezenkosi's 39-year period in top flight football to an end, with the second-bottom Abantu Bemtheto not fully out of the woods as yet.

Former Chippa United defender Frederic Nsabiyumva gave Ezenkosi a positive start, but Sporting replied through former Maritzburg United striker Mohau Mokate.

University of Pretoria went level on points with the leaders Richards Bay due to a 1-0 win over Venda Football Academy.

It's a blow for Venda as the loss dent's their playoff pursuit with super-sub Kamogelo Pheeane coming off the bench once again to guide AmaTuks over the line.

Pretoria Callies eased their relegation fears after they managed to record a 2-0 victory over Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The victory helped Callies stabilise their mid-table standing on the league table, whilst Rise and Shine slipped further away from the top-three spots and ultimately a Promotional playoff slot.

Hungry Lions FC snapped a five-match winless run of form with a comprehensive 2-0 victory over JDR Stars on Sunday in Kimberley.

All it needed Di Tau to get victory were two first half goals from Angelo Van Rooi and Delano Abrahams, leaving the Hammer Boyz Promotional playoff quest in tatters.

Black Leopards made it six wins on the bounce through a 2-1 win over Cape Town Spurs at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

Tiklas Thutlwa's early penalty put Lidoda Duvha ahead at the break, but Spurs levelled through Eyona Ndondo before Khomotso Masia broke their hearts with a last minute winner.
