Richards Bay were stopped from extending their lead at the top of the GladAfrica Championship standings in a goalless draw against Free State Stars on Saturday.
The Natal Rich Boyz still sit at the top but as joint leaders on the back of this result, with Ea Lla Koto five spots adrift the table-toppers.

JDR Stars ended their year as leaders this after they picked up a 1-0 win over the struggling and relegation-haunted Black Leopards.
Zimbabwean international Temptation Chiwunga got the winning strike with a penalty earlier in the second half from a coming-together in the area.
University of Pretoria 1-2 Pretoria Callies
The University of Pretoria slumped to eight spot from third-place following a 2-1 loss to Pretoria Callies in the Tshwane derby.
This win helped Callies away from the bottom-two and also snapped their six match run without a win in all competitions, as a double from Kgomotso Mosadi cancelled out Lulama Maqoko's opener.
Venda Football Academy 1-0 Hungry Lions
Venda Football Academy got back to winning ways in the league with a 1-0 victory over Hungry Lions at the Thohoyandou Stadium, with the host finishing matters with ten players.
The winner came in the middle of the second half from captain Eden Nene shortly after John Takwara received his marching orders, as Venda finished the year fourth on the table.
Polokwane City 2-1 TS Sporting
Polokwane City overturned a halftime lead from TS Sporting to collect a 2-1 victory at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium to end the year in third spot.
Former Maritzburg United striker Mohau Mokate put the visitors in front in the first half, but Rise and Shine rose at the restart and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Platinum City Rovers 1-1 Uthongathi FC
Platinum City Rovers failed to close-in on the top-four contingent following a 1-1 draw against fellow promotion-chasers Uthongathi FC.
With victory in the Nedbank Cup preliminary round in midweek, Rovers looked for a bright end to their year but had to come from behind to wipe out Mfanafuthi Mkhize's strike to seal a draw.

Cape Town Spurs 1-0 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC
Cape Town Spurs ended their year on a high with a 1-0 victory over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC on Sunday afternoon.
Furthermore, the win saw Spurs leapfrog Tshakhuma in 11th spot as Francisco Bunga picked up the winner early in the second half whilst the host had a penalty missed too.
Jomo Cosmos 1-1 Cape Town All Stars
Jomo Cosmos finished the year with a 1-1 draw against Cape Town All Stars, but remained at the bottom of the table heading into the New Year.
All Stars took the lead into the break and were ahead for the duration of the match before Ezenkosi came with the sucker-punch to leave matters all square.
