GladAfrica Championship Wrap 20-21 November

League leaders JDR Stars couldn't extend their lead at the top of the GladAfrica Championship table following a 1-1 draw against Richards Bay FC at the Giant Stadium.

The match was stopped for a short period due to inclement weather conditions, but resumed and finished on time, with Ishmael Wadi on target for Stars and Vusimuzi Mngomezulu for Bay.

Struggling Black Leopards managed to ease their relegation fears at the expense of Pretoria Callies at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium with a 1-0 victory.

Lidoda Duvha banked on a 20th minute winner from Malekana Masia that moved them level on points with Callies who suffered back-to-back losses in the process.

Jomo Cosmos remained without a win after battling to an entertaining 2-2 draw against Cape Town All Stars at the Idas Valley to stay rock bottom on the standings.

Ezenkosi came off a loss to promotion chasing Uthongathi FC in their last clash, while All Stars endured a 1-0 loss at the home of Free State Stars and remained within mid-table.

Platinum City Rovers lost a bit of ground with the title and promotion chasing contingent following a 1-0 loss to the Venda Football Academy in the Limpopo derby

On the other hand, it's back-to-back victories for Venda over rival outfits that coincidentally moved them ahead of Rovers on the standings with the winner coming from Rotonswa Mutsivhuli.

This match didn't take place due to inclement weather conditions in Bethlehem.

University of Pretoria once again failed to pounce on JDR Stars dropping points at the summit after playing a goalless draw against Uthongathi FC.

Stars played to a 1-1 draw against Richards Bay FC and presented a chance for AmaTuks to close-in with a win against Uthongathi, but that sadly didn't materialize.

Cape Town Spurs cooled their relegations worries against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC with an emphatic 4-0 win at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

Vhadau vhadamani saw the visitors struck minutes apart in the second stanza following a goalless opening, with Gregory Damons and Jairo Da Silva on target.

Then, in the dying seconds two quick efforts from Abednego Mosiatlhaga and Ashley Cupido aided the visitors to put more gloss on the result.

Hungry Lions FC continued to find the going tough in their debut campaign following a late 1-0 loss to TS Sporting.

It is Lions' fifth successive loss this season, as the win helped Sporting to move nearer to the top-half while Lions continue to drop further away from the top-tier.
