GladAfrica Championship Final Day Wrap

Richards Bay FC have secured automatic promotion to DStv Premiership after clinching the GladAfrica Championship title on the final day of the season.

The Natal Rich Boyz entered the final matchday top of the log and had their destiny in their own hands against Cape Town Spurs, who were already safe from relegation.

However, the men from the KwaZulu-Natal only managed to secure a point against Shaun Bartlett's charges which was enough to clinch the title on the final day.

It was the same outcome for second-place University of Pretoria who were held to a goalless draw by Hungry Lions FC in their final encounter of the season.

AmaTuks will now compete in the Premier Soccer League promotion/relegation play-offs after finishing second.

Cape Town All Stars 0-1 JDR Stars

JDR Stars finished their campaign on a winning note after getting the better of Cape Town All Stars 1-0 away from home though missed out on a playoff ticket.

The winner from the HammerBoyz came during the earlier exchanges of the second half after the first period finished goalless.

All Stars, who confirmed the final playoff ticket last week already, end their campaign with a loss whilst JDR ended a six match winless run.

Venda Football Academy 1-1 Free State Stars

Free State Stars allowed a narrow lead to slip from their grasp and play out a 1-1 draw against Venda Football Academy in the Limpopo province.

Abbey Seseane got Stars up and running in the first half only for a penalty in the second period from Ranga Chivaviro to drew matters level and see Venda end the campaign in fifth spot.

Ea Lla Koto, who had a player dismissed in the second half, will finish their second season in the second tier in sixth position.

Platinum City Rovers 0-5 Black Leopards

Black Leopards's campaign ended in style after they thumped Platinum City Rovers 5-0 on the road to finish 11th on the league table.

A hat-trick from Tiklas Thutlwa and a brace from Noko Malekana Malekana helped Lidoda Duvha to the emphatic victory over this season's debutants.

Polokwane City 4-2 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC

Polokwane City crushed their provincial rivals Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC 4-2 to finish their campaign positively and in eight spot on the table.

Tshakhuma will finish their term in 13th spot, three spots from the bottom-two and eight points away from the Rise and Shine.

Uthongathi FC 1-0 TS Sporting

Uthongathi FC snapped a five-match winless streak through a 1-0 victory over the already relegated TS Sporting at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu.

The winner came right at the death from midfielder Mlungisi Khumalo, as the loss see Abantu Bemtheto end the campaign rock bottom.

Pretoria Callies 1-2 Jomo Cosmos

Jomo Cosmos ended their final clash of the season positively in the form of a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Pretoria Callies.

Goals from Thabo Maphakisa and Tshepo Matsemela erased the home side's earlier advantage and handed Ezenkosi victory and a 15th position in the end.
