Teams: Orlando Pirates v Stellenbosch
Date: 05 September 2020
Venue: Emirates Airline Park
Orlando Pirates are eyeing nothing less than three points against Stellenbosch as they look to secure third spot this afternoon.
The Soweto giants registered back-to-back wins in the bio-bubble after they followed up the win over SuperSport United with a last-gasp victory over Maritzburg United on Wednesday night.
The win left Pirates in fourth place, one point adrift of third-place SuperSport who take on Cape Town City at the same time this afternoon.
Gabadinho Mhango will be looking to clinch the Golden Boot after netting his 15th goal of the season on Wednesday to move level with Highlands Park's Peter Shalulile.
Stellenbosch, meanwhile, managed to secure their safety with a couple games to spare and are now hoping to finish in the top eight.
However, Steve Barker's charges sit in 10th spot, two points adrift of the top eight but they will need Highlands and Bloemfontein Celtic to drop points.
Stellies are hoping to do the league double over Pirates after claiming a 1-0 win in the first-round clash thanks to a goal from Iqraam Rayners, who since joined SuperSport United.
