Davids' Message To Swallows & Arrows: 'Everyone Will Be Watching'

Davids' Message To Swallows & Arrows: 'Everyone Will Be Watching'

Maritzburg United moved a point above the relegation zone and coach Fadlu Davids says Swallows FC and Golden Arrows will be under scrutiny this weekend.

The Team of Choice will need Swallows and Arrows to defeat Marumo Gallants and Chippa United respectively if they are to avoid the play-offs and relegation.

The point against Sundowns on Tuesday night moved Maritzburg out of the relegation zone ahead of the weekend's final fixtures.

"We're not really sure if one point is enough, we saw the game with Pretoria Callies, with Kwanele Kopo and everything that happened with the four goals, really feel sorry for Cape Town Spurs, with Tuks celebrating like they won the league," Davids told SuperSport after the game.

"We put the pressure now over to Chippa and Marumo. Golden Arrows, their players are going to be under such scrutiny, one mistake everybody is going to say…a goalkeeper mistake by Golden Arrows, what happened.

"So Golden Arrows players are under such scrutiny and of course Marumo Gallants playing Swallows, the players have to play on their toes, they really have to be professional, because the whole world is going watch, are they going to give them the game you know, you don't want to say that.

"But what the coach was insinuating Kwanele Kopo, the entire country is going to watch with a hawk eye to be able to see, can they win the game in a proper way? Swallows, are they going to push for the top eight or someone is suddenly going to slip on the edge of the box and they score?

"The entire country is going to watch these games. The relegation fight normally we should be there but now everybody, the hawk eye, I hope it's live on both games, not like Cape Town Spurs, they showed one game.

"I hope they show both games and we have hawk eyes on top of them, the pressure although it's one point, I commend the players, we got our 30-point mark. Maybe it's not enough, maybe we're still relegated."
