A Mamelodi Sundowns striker's days at the club could be numbered after head coach Rulani Mokwena admitted that the matter is beyond his control.
The Brazilians have been playing without a natural striker after the injury of Peter Shalulile, as they released Thabiso Kutumela on loan to Cape Town City and have been left thin from that perspective after they also sold Cassius Mailula.

There has been question marks on why the Tshwane giants are not using Gift Motupa, who is one of the direct strikers at the club.
Motupa only made seven appearances last season in all competitions after he returned from a long injury lay-off and has not featured for Sundowns in this campaign and when asked why the 28-year-old is not playing, Mokwena suggested that the situation is above his 'pay grade', indicating that the former Bidvest Wits forward is not in his plans.
"No, that's with the club, I think the club is managing that. You know sometimes I'm asked about certain things and I give my opinion, because my opinion is an important opinion at the club," Mokwena told journalists after Sundowns' win over Polokwane City.
"But I'm also just an employee at the club, so we'll hear what the club says and they will give us a directive on that.
"There's quite a few issues that are sitting with the club and they will give us the directive," he said.
Motupa has two more years left on his contract at Sundowns and could be in the same situation as his teammate Gaston Sirino.

Although the state of the relationship between the burly striker and the Brazilians is unclear, the Uruguayan has made it clear that he wants to leave the club and the Tshwane giants are also willing to let him go, but the stumbling block is that he also still has two more years left on his contract with the club.
