Mamelodi Sundowns are set to kickoff their FIFA Club World Cup campaign on Wednesday, June 18 against South Korean side Ulsan HD, followed by group matches against Borussia Dortmund on June 21 and Brazilian side Fluminense on June 25.

Speaking to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview, the Cameroonian legend expressed confidence that football's unpredictable nature could see Sundowns cause upsets in their challenging group.
"The game against the Korean side is the one which will set the tone for Sundowns at the Club World Cup. As much as we respect them I believe we can do well. If you look at the quality of players we have we can play at the same level with them. As for the game against Dortmund, football is unpredictable and most of Sundowns' players could be playing in Europe. They may not be at the same level as Dortmund but they can give a good fight. Our players should just play their game and don't give too much respect to their opponents and in that way they can quality for the last 16," Feutmba told the Siya crew.
The Cameroonian-born legend further stressed that Sundowns' game against Brazilian side Fluminense will be the most interesting one of all three matches.

"With Fluminense we play almost the same kind of football. We like to play with the ball and that will be more interesting and with Brazilian players in our team it will be an open game which any team can win. I think we are in a good group which gives us the chance to qualify for the next round, " Feutmba observed.
This will be the second time Sundowns compete in the FIFA Club World Cup, following their 2016 appearance after winning their first CAF Champions League title under coach Pitso Mosimane.
With the expanded 32-team format this year, Sundowns have a historic opportunity to progress further than their previous participation. A positive showing in this tournament could significantly enhance both Sundowns' global reputation and the profile of the Premier Soccer League as a whole.
