Downs Open To Letting Winger Go?

Downs Open To Letting Winger Go?

Mamelodi Sundowns are open to letting go of a player who joined the club before the start of the season, the Siya crew has been led to believe.

Sundowns are heading to the FIFA Club World Cup, but quite a few of their players are expected to stay behind, which will give them time to find new clubs for the 2025/26 season.

One player likely to make an exit is Kobamelo Kodisang, who is having a difficult period at Chloorkop since making his move from Portuguese outfit Moreirense.

Kodisang came back to the PSL in the hope that it would open the door to more Bafana Bafana call-ups, but that hasn't been the case. Instead, he has been struggling to break into the matchday squad at Chloorkop and the Siya crew understands that Sundowns are open to letting him go, especially because they will be going into the market to bring in more talent for next season.

The 25-year-old Kodisang signed a long-term deal with Sundowns and the club is open to listening to offers for his services.

A loan move, the Siya crew understands, is also an option for the player to go out and get more minutes on the pitch. It's understood that a return to Europe has not been completely ruled out, considering age is still on his side.

Kodisang has made 13 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring two goals while also making a contribution of two assists.
