Nabi Announcement Imminent

While Kaizer Chiefs' players and staff are nearing a return from the off-season break, an announcement on the new coach is imminent, with Nasreddine Nabi expected to be the man to take charge of the team.

Chiefs decided to hold negotiations with players whose contracts will be expiring at the end of the month, as well as other plans for next season, including signings.

It is believed that the Soweto giants are waiting on Nabi who is yet to finish with his program at Moroccan club FAR Rabat before finalising everything.

According to sources, the Tunisian mentor has his deal with Amakhosi agreed in principle, with the tactician expected to land in Mzansi in the coming days for his official announcement and taking over the coaching reins at Naturena.

With that in mind and with Nabi yet to finish with his duties in Morocco, it remains debatable if there will be enough time for all the preparations to be done although the club will know better about their plans.

Nabi, 58, is expected to bring in his own technical team which includes two assistant coaches, a physical trainer and an analyst.

Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
