While they have announced a number of departures from the team, Kaizer Chiefs have been relatively quite about possible signings and the club's Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung has explained the reason behind this.

Amakhosi have parted ways with Sfiso Hlanti, Keagan Dolly, Siyethemba Sithebe, Njabulo Ngcobo and Jasond Gonzalez.
However on the contrary, Chiefs are yet to announce an official signing, while the club are assessing former Orlando Pirates defender Bongani Sam, who has jetted out of the country where he will hope to impress the new technical team in Turkiye.
This is an area that the club have been working on tirelessly behind the scenes - though new faces, which have been approved by Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team, are expected to be announced in due course.
"We are working on it," Motaung told journalists at Toyota's headquarters in Sandton.
"We need to give the coach who's just come in, as well as technical team and the rest of the team time to kind of finalize those details. Work is being done behind the scenes , but it certainly makes sense for us to allow the coach to come in first and also be part of the decisions that will be made there. So, those announcements will come soon," she continued.
Chiefs have been linked with eight players so far, though none of these have been announced by the club as yet.
