Ugandan striker Emmanuel Okwi has broken his silence about a possible move to the South African top flight.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday night after The Cranes played to a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in Group A of the Africa Cup of Nations, a result which edged them closer to qualifying for the second round of the tournament here in Egypt, the forward answered questions about reports he was close to joining Kaizer Chiefs.

It was thought a deal to join the Glamour Boys from Tanzania's Simba SC was close, but Okwi shed a bit of light.
"I can be in South Africa or I can be anywhere, you can't predict the future," he said, adding "as things stand I am a free player."

Okwi being a free agent means that Chiefs – or any interested party – can sign him without paying a transfer fee.
"For now I can't speak about speculations because right now I am focused on helping my national team get as far as possible. But you never know with football – anything can happen," the 26-year-old teased.
