Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that midfielder Yusuf Maart has completed a move to Europe ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 29-year-old has joined newly promoted Austrian side SV Ried on permanent deal.

The Austrian club has announced that Maart has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with an option to extend.

Chiefs also bid farewell to their former captain, who guided the team to their first trophy in ten years after scoring the winner in the Nedbank Cup final.

"Midfielder Yusuf Maart has left Amakhosi to join newly-promoted Austrian Football Bundesliga outfit, SV Ried," Chiefs announced on social media.

"The Club appreciates Maart’s contribution and wishes him well in this new chapter in his career."
