Ntseki Responds To Broos On Chiefs Players

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki has responded to Hugo Broos' claims that none of the Amakhosi players deserve to be selected for the national team.

Broos, in selecting his side for the upcoming international friendlies against Namibia and DR Congo omitted players from Chiefs in his final 23-man squad.

When asked about his decision, Broos revealed that upon his observation of the Chiefs squad, none of the players warrant a place in the national team.

Chiefs in turn, managed a 2-0 win over Stellenbosch FC at the Athlone Stadium on the same day, their second victory in as many matches.

Speaking to the media after the game, Ntseki, who himself was a national team coach prior to joining the Glamour Boys responded to Broos' statement.

"That's the decision of the national team coach," Ntseki told journalists.

"We can't question him because we don't know what he is looking for in a player. He has never given us a template to say that for one to be in the national team, these are the requirements. So, if ever he feels like we deserve to have players in the national team, it's unfortunate.

"They [the players], are very motivated. We just have to work hard and show everybody and ourselves that we have got the quality in the team."

Chiefs turn their focus to Mamelodi Sundowns, whom they will face over two legs in the MTN8 semi-final, starting on Saturday at FNB Stadium.
