Maritzburg United goalkeeper Marcel Engelhardt has emphasized the importance of keeping their good record against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Team of Choice host Amakhosi at Harry Gwala Stadium in very high spirits as they come from two decent performances against Black Leopards and Bloemfontein Celtic.
As much as their goalkeeper Marcel Engelhardt believes they could have done better against Siwelele, the shot-stopper also feels avoiding defeats in the last two games has changed the mood in the camp ahead Chiefs.
"We happy with our previous results, win against Black Leopards and draw with Bloemfontein Celtic, it was a good win even though we could have done more against Celtic, but we now focus on the next game," Engelbrecht explains.
With the fear of relegation looming, regardless of previous results, the German keeper says their focus is to ensure that the club moves out of the danger zone, with the Chiefs clash an opportunity to claim maximum points.
"We still down there in the relegation place and want to improve our position.
"It crucial to continue picking up points, we are almost in the bottom of the table and we need to get closer to other teams, as it also builds up our confidence if we keep picking up points.
"We know Chiefs are a big team here and (have) good players but if the team does well we can pick up points, as home games are very important and we hope we can do that against them," he added.
The clash is scheduled for 17:00.
