With Kaizer Chiefs back in the CAF Confederation Cup for the upcoming season, previous semi-finalists, Stellenbosch goalkeeper Lee Langeveldt has made a bold statement about Amakhosi's return.
Chiefs will be back in Africa's second tier club competition, after they won the Nedbank Cup, following their win over Orlando Pirates in the final.
The last time The Glamour Boys competed in an African club tournament, they reached the final of the CAF Champions League in 2021 and lost out on getting their first star to record champions Al Ahly.

Langeveldt, who was part of the Stellies squad that reached the semi-finals, before being knocked out by Simba in the last campaign, has welcomed the return of the Soweto giants at the continental level, as the two clubs will be representing the country, after the Cape Winelands outfit finished third in the Betway Premiership for the second season running.
"Just good luck, I don't want to give too much away, they are our competitors," the veteran goalkeeper said when asked by Soccer Laduma what advice he would give to Amakhosi.
Langeveldt, however, welcomed the presence of Nasreddine Nabi's charges ahead of the new campaign.
"But just good luck, we're all representing the country, it's important to have Kaizer Chiefs again, especially on a big stage.
"They're a big brand, we need them in these type of competitions, good luck to them, maybe we'll meet in the final," the Stellenbosch native shot-stopper said.

Langeveldt also painted the picture of their first experience in the continental competition.
"It was a good learning curve for us, especially the type of football these North Africans play, very structured and disciplined," Langeveldt continued.
"The travelling was crazy, sometimes we had to travel for crazy amount of hours. I remember the trip to Morocco to play Berkane was, from Cape Town to Jo'burg two hours, from Jo'burg to Dubai seven hours, from Dubai to Morocco another eight hours, and then the bus seven hours in one trip, it was crazy.
"It was a good learning experience to see these beautiful countries, Africa is a beautiful continent, hopefully we can carry those experiences in the upcoming season and hopefully push to win it. We reached the semi-finals, I don't see any reason we can't win it next season," the experienced goalkeeper declared.
