Mario Booysen's first campaign with Kaizer Chiefs has been riddled with bad luck, and his absence from the squad over the weekend is because of another problem he picked up. Now though, with the Nedbank Cup final on the horizon, the former Mamelodi Sundowns man will be itching to overcome his latest niggle in order to get back for that crucial game at Moses Mabhida Stadium later this month. The Siya crew have been informed that Booysen was not in contention for the 1-1 draw against Free State Stars on Saturday due to an injury that he picked up in training earlier in the week, though it appears that this issue is not a long-term one that will end his season. Booysen will now be hoping to get back into the matchday squad for the final league game of the season, against Chippa United, as he looks to force his way into Ernst Middendorp's plans for the potentially season-saving clash with TS Galaxy on May 18th.
