Kaizer Chiefs are bracing themselves for their biggest test of the young Betway Premiership season as they welcome defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns to the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Glamour Boys have made no secret of their intent to restore pride to the Amakhosi badge this season, and club captain Inacio Miguel has made it clear that visiting teams should expect nothing less than a battle when stepping onto their home turf.
“With due respect to Sundowns, we are a big club,” Miguel said confidently speaking to the media.
“Playing at home and having our supporters is a big motivation for us. We want to make FNB Stadium into a fortress, and we want maximum points from this game.”
Miguel acknowledged the quality of the Brazilians but insists Chiefs are ready to embrace the challenge.
“Obviously, Sundowns are a big test for us, but the boys are ready to face this challenge. Yes, we have had more time to prepare than Sundowns, but on the other hand, after their disappointing result last weekend, they will want to put that right as soon as possible, and they will be motivated to play on Wednesday.”
