The long-anticipated move marks a major step for Amakhosi, who have now formalised their relationship with the women’s club owned by former Chiefs player and ex-Banyana Banyana coach, Joseph Mkhonza.
The partnership will focus on technical development, shared resources, and building pathways for young female talent.
Chiefs’ Executive Chairman Dr. Kaizer Motaung hailed the deal as a “significant milestone” in the club’s commitment to empowering women in football, while Commercial Director Jessica Motaung said it lays the foundation for a sustainable women’s football ecosystem.
The announcement sees Chiefs finally act on their long-standing ambition to support the women’s game — aligning themselves with a trusted, local club that has deep Amakhosi ties.
