A former Kaizer Chiefs defender is convinced Amakhosi have chosen the right country to visit for pre-season, and has given his reasons as to why he feels the Soweto giants will come back a better team.
Amakhosi are set to travel to Europe for a second year running, after visiting Turkiye last season, as they welcomed Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team back then. Things, however, did not go well for Amakhosi after the trip to Turkey as they had a disastrous Betway Premiership campaign, but they ended their trophy drought by winning the Nedbank Cup.

Nabi will go into his second season knowing that the team has to improve tremendously in the Premiership or he could find himself being sacked, so the trip to Netherlands becomes even more important for the former Yanga SC coach.
Mokete Tsotetsi, a former Chiefs defender, believes playing in the Netherlands, a country where clubs are considered to be tactically astute, will help Amakhosi have a better structure next season.
On their tour, Amakhosi will face Thulani Serero's former side Vitesse FC, as well as FC Utrecht, NEC Nijmegen and Kamohelo Mokotjo's former clubs PEC Zwolle and FC Twente.
"Chiefs went to Turkey last season and they did well in the early stages of the league. Remember there was a reshuffling of the technical team after the first assistant left and then they had to bring in another one," Tsotetsi told Soccer Laduma.

"Going to Netherlands now, it will be good for them because they are going to be preparing against teams that will give them a challenge to prepare for the league. In Netherlands, they are usually good tactically, so I think it can help Chiefs in establishing a good structure in their line-up. I think they will come back a different team. They will come back a better team."
Chiefs are expected to travel with the likes of George Matlou and Zitha Kwinika, two players who have contracts expiring at the end of June. Indications are that they have exercised an option in Kwinika's contract.
