Kaizer Chiefs will have an interesting month with three fixtures that could go a long way in determining if this will be another disappointing campaign or not.
In February, Amakhosi will take on Cape Town City and Baroka FC, and have a date with TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup.
Stuart Baxter's men returned from their camp in Cape Town and are putting in the hard work at Naturena ahead of the gruelling month.
The Nedbank Cup will provide a chance for Amakhosi to get some silverware in the cabinet, due to the fact that the DStv Premiership title race is not in their hands. They would need log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns to have a collapse, but the reigning champions are looking like a side not ready to give their title to anyone else.
Baxter will have more options upfront in the remaining months of the campaign, with Samir Nurkovic and Leonard Castro back and fully fit. Lebogang Manyama will also be available for selection, after struggling for a big part of the campaign with injury.
One player who looks set to miss the resumption of domestic football is midfielder Cole Alexander, who is believed to be recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
