After Kaizer Chiefs announced their tenth signing of the winter transfer window with the addition of Lebohang Maboe, Soccer Laduma analyses how the club's acquisitions have fared over the last five seasons.
Chiefs reached at least ten new signings for the second time since their transfer ban with the acquisition of Maboe, as they made their intentions to compete for major honours clear.

After the Amakhosi transfer ban was lifted ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, they made eight new additions in the winter in Thabani Dube, Njabulo Ngcobo, Sifiso Hlanti, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Phathutshedzo Nange, Cole Alexander and Sibusiso Mabiliso.
The Soweto giants made nine new signings in the winter of 2022, with Siyethemba Sithebe, Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, having moved on from the club.
Chiefs started to improve in the success rate of their signings prior to the 2023/24 term, as out of the ten new additions, Jasond Gonzalez (on loan) and Mduduzi Mdantsane struggled to find their feet at Naturena.
Amakhosi made seven new signings last term and almost all of them have fitted well, however, Bongani Sam did not play an official game due to injury and goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, falling out of favour.
On the other side, Keagan Dolly was an outstanding signing of the 2021/22 campaign, while Ashley Du Preez and Yusuf Maart made their mark following their capture in the 2022/23 term.

Chiefs' success rate with acquisitions improved as mentioned above from the 2023/24 campaign.
The likes of Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Pule Mmodi are in good form, while the Glamour Boys made a handsome figure in selling Thatayaone Ditlhokwe last season, after acquiring him from SuperSport United on a pre-contract in the same term.
The likes of Rushwin Dortley, Gaston Sirino, Bradley Cross and Inacio Miguel are all regulars from their acquisition last season.
