Kaizer Chiefs new signing Ethan Chislett's former coach at Port Vale, Andy Crosby has opened up on the attributes of the Durban-born midfielder.
Chiefs announced the signing of Chislett this week, alongside Flavio Silva and Nkanyiso Shinga.

The capture of the English midfielder, who was born in KwaZulu-Natal, came as a surprise, considering that the 26-year-old playmaker spent most of his career in the lower leagues in England.
The Glamour Boys, though, appear to have put their risk on a midfielder who got relegated with former club Port Vale to League Two (fourth-tier) in the 2023/24 season but helped the club gain promotion back to League One (third-tier) in the previous campaign.
The Soweto giants took a similar risk in 2019 after signing Durban-born midfielder Kearyn Baccus, who was raised and based in Australia, from the books of Melbourne City.
Baccus was not particularly out of place at Chiefs in his three-year stay, although he did not live up to expectations after initially even being compared to Doctor Khumalo before his arrival.
Soccer Laduma spoke to former coach at Port Vale Crosby on what caught their eye when they brought Chislett to the club in 2023 from Wimbledon.
"His technical ability to receive in tight spaces, his ability to play the last pass (assist) and his ability to score," Crosby told the Siya crew.

The 26-year-old scored 13 goals in 68 league appearances for The Valiants across two seasons, in two different league levels, as Crosby added that Chislett has grown in his game.
"He progressed throughout his first season, grew more comfortable in his new club and with his teammates and style of play," Crosby said in a brief chat.
Chislett has travelled with Chiefs to their pre-season training camp in Netherlands.
